Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-14
1. Overview
AppointIO ("the Service", "we") respects user privacy and operates in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981. This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information when you use the Service.
2. Information we collect
- Business owners: name, email, login credentials, business details (name, address, phone), and your configured settings.
- End customers booking appointments: name, email, phone (if provided), and any notes you include with a booking.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and logs needed to operate the Service.
3. How we use information
- To enable appointment booking and management.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and update notices by email, and via SMS or WhatsApp when the customer has provided a phone number and chosen that channel.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Information sharing
End-customer personal data is shared with the business at which the appointment was booked — that business sees the information needed to fulfill the booking. We do not sell information to third parties. We may pass information to infrastructure providers (hosting, email) acting on our behalf under confidentiality terms. Some of our infrastructure providers operate outside Israel; where data is transferred to them, we do so in accordance with applicable law.
Our main sub-processors are:
- Vercel — website and image hosting (USA).
- Neon — database (USA / EU).
- Resend — email delivery (USA).
- Upstash (QStash) — reminder scheduling (USA).
- Sentry — error monitoring (USA).
- Google — calendar sync and Google sign-in, for users who opt in (USA).
- SMS provider (019) — SMS delivery (Israel).
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as the account is active. After subscription cancellation, your business and customer data is kept for 30 additional days in case you decide to resume, after which it is permanently deleted (except for data we are legally required to retain, such as tax invoice records for 7 years under Israeli law).
You may request earlier deletion by emailing the address below.
6. Your rights
Under Israeli law you have the right to access personal data we hold about you, request corrections if inaccurate, and request deletion in eligible cases. Contact us by email to exercise these rights.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. No system is impenetrable, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a serious security incident affecting personal data, we will act in accordance with our legal notification obligations, including informing the relevant parties as required.
8. Cookies
The Service uses cookies essential to operation (sign-in, preferences). This version of the Service does not use advertising tracking cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The most recent revision date appears at the top. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
